Hi everyone! I'm Maria, the founder of The Cheer Doctor! I am a former Ohio State and USA Coed Cheerleader having won 3 gold medals in the sport. I am now a Physical Therapist with a passion to get cheerleaders the care they deserve when rehabbing an injury and returning to a high level sport.
I created The Cheer Doctor because I found that many healthcare professionals didn't understand the demands of our sport. Cheerleaders deserve a healthcare professional who understands them and their goals in order to get back to their sport safely and even stronger than when they left.
