What To Expect:

Force Plate Jump Testing: We will be using force plate technology to test your vertical jump height, explosive power, and "springiness." An email will be sent out to all clinic participants with a summary of their scores as well as a detailed explanation of what each measure means related to cheerleading with sample exercises to improve each measure. Athletes will be able to see their jump scores compared to others who participate. However we will be using "code names" so that athletes cannot directly compare to others they know. Athletes will know their code name only.

Improving Cheer Jumps and Endurance Workouts: Participate in group workout classes designed to teach you how to improve your jumps and endurance for cheer routines. All workouts will be bodyweight so that you can do them at home as well. Lead by Physical Therapist and Strength Coach, Dr Maria.

Preventing Injuries for Flyers and Bases: Learn exercises and stretches you can do to prevent common injuries in flyers and bases. Learn how to improve your hip and shoulder stability and prevent back pain. Participate in a movement analysis to find your strengths and weaknesses. You will be provided with a guided worksheet to help you remember your tests and exercises. Lead by Physical Therapist and Strength Coach, Dr Maria.

Cheer Dietician Workshop: Participate in a class with Registered Dietician and Bengals Cheerleader Ashley Martinez to learn how to fuel optimally for performance!

Cheer Sport Psychology Workshop: Participate in a class with Sport Psychologist Dr. Kylee Baker to optimize your performance through mental strategies.

Optional Coed Stunt Clinic with OSU Cheerleaders: Stay for an optional 2 hour coed stunt clinic with Ohio State Cheerleaders. Lead by Ohio State Cheer Head Coach, Ben Schreiber.
